Over the years, exercising was the key for me to staying fit. I didn’t have to worry about what I was eating. As I have gotten older, it has been more difficult keeping the weight off. At the end of November 2014, I joined the 21 Day Healthy Holiday Challenge posted on Facebook by Health and Wellness Coach Gail Sauter. This challenge was perfect for me as it motivated me to eat less sugar and not be tempted to eat Christmas cookies and all the other goodies of the Holiday Season. Gail also encouraged me to drink more water, exercise, meditate, get more sleep and buy healthy organic food. The Right Track Wellness Program has kept me on track and I have been making smart healthy choices at the food store. I have been eating fresh organic foods such as chicken, salmon, eggs, kale, quinoa, fresh berries, beans, nuts, chia seeds and flax seeds. I have followed many of the recipes Gail has provided on her website. I have been making fresh smoothies, homemade soup, started drinking green tea and I drink allot of water with lemon. Thanks to Gail’s coaching, I feel healthier and I have lost weight and I am sleeping better. I am looking forward to joining another challenge in the future to keep me motivated and I am determined to make smart healthy choices the rest of my life!Jennifer Yang, January, 2015

Even though I work out 7 days a week mixing in cardio with weight lifting; I just could not seem to lose weight. Gail suggested a 10 day detox program which eliminates processed foods, gluten, dairy, sugars, caffeine and alcohol from your diet. Initially, I was hesitant but Gail explained the benefits of this program and how it is effective for most people if you are disciplined to move forward with it. She was honest with me that it’s not for everyone but pretty much guaranteed me I would lose weight if I followed the program for 10 days. On average, she said people lose 8lbs in 10 days.
My goals upon starting the 10 day detox were to lose some weight, reduce my blood sugar and overall I just wanted to feel better and have more energy. Gail explained to me the benefits of eating whole foods, healthy fats, more antioxidants and drinking plenty of water. She told me if I changed my diet to include these, I would see results and she was so right! Gail gave me advice on the foods I should be buying/preparing for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in between meals. I am not much of a cook but her suggestions were easy to follow.
Initially, I didn’t know how I would be able to eliminate the foods and snacks I’ve been eating for years and not have cravings for bread, pasta, sugar, caffeine, etc. but I was determined to make a change and guess what….I’m only on day 7 of the detox program and I’m down 10lbs already! I also have more energy during the day and I am sleeping the best I have slept in many years! My cravings have disappeared as well.
